Started in 1979 at Ashfield, Sydney I have progressed through to Black Belt in 3 years before opening my first Karate Academy at Ambarvale, Campbelltown. in 1986 moved to a new home at Rosemeadow Public School and have been teaching classes there since then. In 1989 though I have asked my instructor for some guidence, he suggested that I train with his teacher in Tokyo, Japan. I did meet up with Shuji Tasaki 8th Dan from Gojuryu Karate do Seiwakai and the new Journey began. Through the 90s I was an active member of NSW Karate and Australian Koshiki where I won Kata Bunkai contest in Tokyo, Japan 1994. Through Shuji Tasaki Hanshi I worked with many instructors through the All Japan Karate do Federation Gojukai and am a founding member JKF Gojukai Australia 1991 in Adelaide. Retired from competition in 2005 at the age of 45. Decided to help build Gojuryu Karate Do Seiwakai so others could get the benefit from Japanese tuition with bringing Shuji Tasaki Hanshi to do Seminars in Brisbane and Sydney. I still train in Karate and fill my days with people that want to meet their goals, with weight lose and fitness training.

To find a good coach is the key Shuji Tasaki Shihan was the best and Fujiwara Shihan has developed his coaching through the guidance of a great master that devoted his life to his love for Karate, I enjoy my Karate and like to invite others to train and learn from my experience.
